Not set by default.

Server Port

Selected by default.

Non-Transparent-Framing

(Yes)

Legacy formatting for interoperability with older syslog servers, outlined in RFC 6587 § 3.4.2. Formats message frames as "MSG LF".

Not selected by default.

Structured Data

Label

Mandatory

Description

Use Structured Data

No

Includes origination data in variable-value-pairs before the free-form message part, as per RFC 5424 § 6.3. The data sent is the ID of the originating node, as well as its configured display name. This is typically used for easier automated processing.

Example:

... [logOrigin nodeName="AP1" nodeId="2"] MSG

Enabling also triggers adherence to the stricter formatting of RFC 5424. Otherwise the formatting approximates RFC 3164.

Not selected by default.
